Verity Hardcastle
Head Stylist, Salon Owner and Manager

Verity is a busy working mum and owner of 3 miniature Poodles, she enjoys long walks, occasional holidays and spending time with family and friends.

Verity started grooming in 2010 following her training at Look North and is now highly regarded in the industry winning many grooming competition placements including in America, she is an exihibitor of Poodles and all round dog enthusiast. Verity has many qualifications to her name including City & Guilds level 3 intro, the full diploma and the full Highers practical qualifications, the most complex and advanced grooming qualifications. A full list of her achievements can be viewed on, Verity has exhibited dogs at Crufts, all around the Uk and has been in the media many times both locally and nationally, even appearing on Channel 4 with Claire Balding and Alan Carr. Not only has she won many awards for her grooming but also for her business- winning salon of the year twice, presented by Deborah Meaden and the Chairman of the Pet Industry Federation.

Samatha Bryson
Senior Stylist and Assistant Manager

Sam loves the sunshine and is always looking forward to her next holiday, she also loves her dogs and owns a Lab Mix, a Springer Spaniel and a Border Collie.
Sam is a spaniel enthusiast and often completes and is placed in the grooming circuit with her own Springer who is hand stripped, she also loves competing with Cockapoo’s and poodle mixes.
Sam has her full City & Guilds qualification, level 3, intro and Diploma and has been grooming since 2012 following her training at Look North where Verity trained. Sam has been with Shampooches since 2014 and is a superb stylist.

Jade Roland-Warden
Senior Stylist and Media Manager

Jade is an outside girl and loves rock climbing, walking and photography. Jade runs Shampooches Sleepovers and gives your dogs a bespoke one to one boarding experience whilst you are away. Jade is a fantastic stylist and holds her City & Guilds Level 3 qualification and has been grooming with Shampooches since 2016 following her training at The College of Animal Welfare, Jade enjoys competition grooming and has gained many placements at national competitions with Schnauzer/Poodle crosses, her passion is Schnauzers.

Nicola Lynch
Junior Stylist

Nicola has been grooming since 2017 and is currently working towards your level 3 city & guilds practical qualification, she is a professionally trained stylist and has a love for anything small and adorable, especially poodles, cavapoos and Maltese. In her spare time she plays the Guitar & sings- really well – and enjoys travelling to new places, city breaks and exploring the world. Nicola trained at the prestigious Look North Training centre where both Verity and Samantha trained as well.

Rosie Dean
Assistant Groomer

In her spare Rosie is out walking or working her cocker spaniel or hacking out on her horses with a few hunt meets here and there. After graduating with an Equine Business degree she went straight into an office job whilst working out which direction to go in, knowing she had a passion for horses she set up a little horse clipping business for extra money whilst studying. Rosie then decided to then go on to do her level 2 & 3 city and guilds dog grooming qualification and is furthering her knowledge & experience at Shampooches.


Ellie Cowburn
Assistant Groomer

Ellie has two toy poodles, Treacle and Pudding and in her spare time she likes to compete with her horses at affiliated showjumping. Ellie has worked in the grooming industry for several years and is a fabulous assistant groomer with a good knowledge base and a kind way with the animals. She has ambitions to gain her level 3 city and guilds exam and become a stylist in the future.


Lizzy Davis
Assistant Groomer

Lizzy adores animals and especially dogs. After spending time in fashion at Leeds University College it became clear to Lizzy that something was missing! And so decided to kick of her heels and study at Leeds College of Animal Welfare , attaining her Level 2 in dog grooming, to pursue her true passion and further her career. From working part time in a grooming practice , decided that joining us in a full time role as a groomers assistant is another great step for her journey.


Jodie Styles

Jodie started grooming in the beginning of 2018 and since then I gained Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming through the iPet Network and City and Guilds Level 3 qualification. Jodie also has a Degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Chester University. She loves all breeds but has have a soft spot for Cockers and Springer Spaniels. Jodie also loves staying active especially in the outdoors and is a keen rugby supporter and player.
